We made it (Day 1……. sort of, Johannesburg)

Hour 14.5

I won’t bore you with the gory details. You know the score: 2 guys get on a plane – 2 guys sit on said plane for 15.5 hours until they reach their destination, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The one flight highlight I will share with you is this: South African Airlines is pretty sweet. They feed you almost

Keith is a big fan of complimentary socks

constantly and they give you complimentary socks, which is always a plus.

We arrived at around  3pm local time and were met and transported by our new friend, Jason Bendemenn. Jason will be our Camera Assist/ Keep Us Out of Trouble Guy for the duration of our trip. He curses almost as often as I do which I take as a good sign.

Jason got us situated in our hotel here in Johannesburg, where we’ll be staying for the next 3 days.

Full disclosure: I am currently a zombie and haven’t slept in close to 24 hours. Please enjoy these photos that Keith snapped from our moving car as we made our way from airport to hotel. Tomorrow’s a big day.
